To be a person in their formative years and to discover the layers of the internet comes with the need for exploration — curiosity is simply the fundament of being that age. So often the novelty of discovering the internet is both exhilarating and ultra-stimulating, consequently, a definite value is attached to it. While this value may manifest itself in liberation of expression or other joy-bringing ways (the quality and essence of these are not questioned in this text), it is the same value that allows others to generate profit. This clearly has been well adapted in these days of the web, where conventionally pretty girls have reached the apex of self-expression, whether that’s posting an image of them promotionally holding a coconut or sharing their overly-curated skincare routine (also quite naive, if you ask me), platforms that allow them to do so, will benefit even more. It is however another level of naive audacity to generate revenue from the web kids directly.
